Terms of Service

Last updated: September 18, 2026

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Prework (“Prework,” “we,” “us”), a platform that lets independent service providers (“Providers”) share a booking link, collect signed agreements, and accept deposits and payments from their clients (“Clients”). By creating a Provider account or completing a booking as a Client, you agree to these Terms.

2. What Prework Is and Isn't

Prework provides the software Providers use to publish packages, generate agreements, and collect payment. Prework is not a party to the agreement between a Provider and their Client, is not the service being sold, and is not responsible for a Provider delivering the services described on their booking page.

Contract templates available on the platform are general-purpose starting points. Prework does not review them for legal sufficiency in any specific jurisdiction, and using one does not substitute for a Provider’s own legal advice.

3. Provider Accounts

Providers must give accurate information about their business, keep their login credentials secure, and are responsible for all activity under their account. A Provider is responsible for the accuracy of the packages, prices, and contract content they publish, and for their own conduct toward their Clients.

4. Payments and Fees

Payments are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment processor. Prework does not receive or store card numbers or bank credentials submitted during checkout.

Prework charges a platform fee of 1.5% of each payment made through a Provider’s booking link. Where a Provider has connected a payout account, this fee is deducted automatically at the point of payment and the remainder settles directly to the Provider; the rest is not held by Prework. Providers are responsible for connecting accurate payout details and for any taxes owed on amounts they receive.

Refunds, if any, are between a Provider and their Client under the terms of the agreement between them. Prework is not obligated to issue or facilitate refunds beyond what Paystack’s own processes allow.

5. Client Bookings

When a Client completes a booking, they are entering an agreement with the Provider, not with Prework. Prework collects the information necessary to process that booking and payment (name, email, payment details handled by Paystack, and any fields the Provider’s contract template requests) on the Provider’s behalf.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Prework to:

  • Collect payment for services you do not intend to provide
  • Publish false, misleading, or illegal content in a package or contract
  • Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the platform’s payment or security controls
  • Use the platform to launder funds or process payments for a third party without disclosure

7. Intellectual Property

Prework retains all rights to the platform itself. Providers retain ownership of the content they upload (logos, cover photos, package descriptions) and grant Prework a limited license to display it as needed to operate the booking page.

8. Termination

Either party may stop using Prework at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent payment activity, or poses a risk to Clients or the platform.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Prework is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prework is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including disputes between a Provider and their Client, or issues originating with a third-party payment processor.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Prework after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to the contact address listed on the Prework website.
